Our Story
ALMSHAVEN is a registered Non-Profit Company (NPC K2021872489/08) passionately dedicated to breaking cycles of poverty, unemployment, and food insecurity in South Africa’s most underserved communities — with our primary focus on the Vaal Triangle region in Gauteng and Free State.

Our Founders
Founded in 2021 by three passionate young women from Sebokeng — Nosipho Maseko, Thandi Masuku, and Likabiso Lekhooa — we reach the “unreachable”: isolated elderly without mobility, idle youth facing 62.2% unemployment, orphaned children, rehabilitated individuals, and families struggling daily.

Our Approach
Our holistic, sustainability-focused programs go beyond temporary relief. We combine immediate aid (like nutritious meals) with life-changing skills (gardening, job training, business startups), helping people grow their own food, find meaningful work, repair homes, launch enterprises, and restore childhood joy. In a country where 68% live below the poverty line, we teach communities to thrive independently — one seed, one skill, one future at a time.
